Job summary

The Goddard School in Milton, MA is seeking a Lead PreK Teacher to guide a group of young learners in a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom. You will develop developmentally appropriate curriculum, assess progress, and work closely with families and staff to meet each child’s needs.

The ideal candidate has a 4-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, 2+ years of preschool or child care experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (will consider current enrollment in pursuit of a degree).
• 2+ years experience working with preschoolers or in childcare/educational setting.
• EEC Certification preferred (will work to get you certified).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for prekindergarten.
• Advance physical and intellectual competencies by adapting activities to meet children’s needs.
• Create a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for preschoolers to learn and grow.
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff.
• Capture and communicate the child's daily activities and progress.
• Collaborate with team members to plan school events and activities.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
