Job summary

Bright Minds Academy in Topeka, KS seeks an experienced Pre-K Lead Teacher to provide academic enrichment and social-emotional guidance for 4-5 year olds. You will develop differentiated lesson plans, implement a broad curriculum, and supervise assistants to foster a thriving learning community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Associate's degree with significant preschool experience considered.
• Minimum 3+ years in a Pre-K/preschool classroom setting.
• Deep understanding of 4-5 year old development and school readiness.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Strong assessment and observation skills to identify learning needs and growth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; First Aid/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Observe individual children and develop differentiated lesson plans based on strengths and interests.
• Implement comprehensive curriculum activities across literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and creative development.
• Create a classroom community that fosters independence, critical thinking, and love of learning.
• Guide behavior and social skills development toward school readiness.
• Facilitate group discussions, projects, and collaborative learning experiences.
• Assess progress and communicate regularly with parents about development.
