Job summary

Cadence Education in Newton is seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher to create a warm, inclusive classroom and deliver a developmentally appropriate curriculum, while supporting each child’s growth in a safe environment.

The role reports to the School Director and requires state licensing eligibility plus 6–12 months of early childhood experience. A degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred, with a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers.
• Minimum 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families with daily greetings and ongoing communication.
• Recognize diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs and implement IEPs as required.
• Plan and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence Educational philosophy.
• Use Cadence systems to communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Maintain a safe, well-supervised classroom following policies and licensing requirements.
• Document and report accidents and escalated behaviors per policy.
• Follow all Cadence Education policies and participate in trainings and meetings.
