Job summary

Marillac St. Vincent is seeking a Lead Teacher for PreK to lead and coordinate a developmentally appropriate education program in the classroom.

Under the supervision of the Child Development Supervisor, you will ensure quality planning, collaboration, and staff coaching to meet state standards. You will oversee lesson planning, staff guidance, and family engagement while maintaining program documentation and adherence to licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ECE or CD with required Illinois credentials.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to guide and coach teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Coach teachers to implement developmentally appropriate practices.
• Model effective teaching and guide goal setting with staff.
• Support collaboration and timely completion of documentation.
• Monitor classroom activities to ensure safety and quality.
• Work with families and supervisors to plan child-centered activities.
• Maintain confidential records and assist with program goals.
• Provide team meetings and coaching for continuous improvement.
