Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities:
  1. Curriculum and Instruction:
    • Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
    • Foster a love of learning through creative teaching methods
    • Observe and assess children's development, adjusting activities accordingly
  2. Classroom Management:
    • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
    • Manage routines and transitions smoothly
    • Address behavioral issues with positive guidance
  3. Family Communication:
    • Maintain open communication with parents/guardians about their child's progress
    • Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide updates
    • Encourage family involvement in school activities
  4. Health and Safety:
    • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of classroom and common areas
    • Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures
    • Supervise children indoors and outdoors for safety
  5. Professional Development:
    • Participate in ongoing training and development
    • Stay current with best practices in early childhood education
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share strategies

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience working with young children in licensed settings preferred
  • Completed state-required pre-service training
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
