Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum and Instruction:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Foster a love of learning through creative teaching methods
- Observe and assess children's development, adjusting activities accordingly
- Classroom Management:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage routines and transitions smoothly
- Address behavioral issues with positive guidance
- Family Communication:
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians about their child's progress
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide updates
- Encourage family involvement in school activities
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of classroom and common areas
- Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Supervise children indoors and outdoors for safety
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing training and development
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education
- Collaborate with colleagues to share strategies

Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
- 1-2 years of experience working with young children in licensed settings preferred
- Completed state-required pre-service training
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
