Responsibilities

• Classroom Planning, Instruction, and Management: Personalizes instructional materials in advance and shows written evidence of preparation.
• Secures and prepares instructional materials in advance and shows written evidence of preparation.
• Plans purposeful assignments for substitute teachers, teacher assistants, and student teachers when applicable.
• Assists in the evaluation, selection, and requisition of books, equipment, audio-visuals, and other supplementary materials.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the subject matter and diagnoses learning problems to develop plans.
• Implements curriculum programs and participates in development; establishes clear objectives and communicates them to students.
• Maintains effective communication with students, parents, and administrators.
• Maintains a disciplined, safe, and orderly classroom and school environment.
• Supervises students as assigned and cooperates with colleagues and administration.
