Job summary

Children's Lighthouse of New Braunfels is seeking a dedicated preschool/Pre-K teacher to create a welcoming classroom and deliver an age-appropriate curriculum. You will supervise children and foster their development within a structured, positive environment.

You will communicate with parents, collaborate with staff, and ensure compliance with Texas childcare licensing rules. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and active participation in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Previous preschool or Pre-K teaching experience preferred.
• Experience working with 4-year-old children strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Caring, patient, dependable, and energetic personality.

• Implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Create a structured and positive classroom environment.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Lead daily learning activities, including early literacy, math, science, art, and hands-on learning.
• Follow the school's curriculum and learning standards.
• Maintain accurate classroom records and required documentation.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding their child's development and daily experiences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Supervise children at all times and follow health and safety procedures.
• Guide children's behavior using positive classroom management techniques.
• Collaborate with classroom assistants and other staff members.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Follow all Texas childcare licensing requirements and company policies.
