Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Customer Engineer to interface with customers and cross-functional teams, translating technical needs into power interconnect solutions. The role involves developing concepts, preparing technical presentations, and delivering engineering documentation to support design wins.

Ideal candidates have a BS in mechanical engineering, 2+ years in connector-related technical support, and proficiency with Creo and Windchill.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Minimum of 2 years proven experience providing technical support to produce design wins within the connector industry.
Proficient in 3D modeling and PDM (Creo/Windchill).
Some knowledge of server/storage/networking/data center rack level architectures preferred.
Some experience with industry specifications (UL, EIA, IEC, Telcordia, etc.) would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Work with customers to develop solutions addressing their needs and meet technical requirements related to power solutions.
Assess customer needs and map them to current products or propose modifications or new concepts for engineering.
Provide key engineering documents: drawings, product specs, lab test results, plating analysis.
Engage thermal engineering and simulation teams to support design proposals.
Lead or participate in Voice of the Customer activities and travel as required.
