Job summary

NAES Corporation's Athens, NY facility seeks a Lead O&M Technician to provide technical leadership and oversee safe, reliable plant operations, including startup/shutdown, system monitoring, and preventive maintenance. You will guide O&M personnel, coordinate daily schedules, troubleshoot equipment issues, and drive continuous improvement in safety and performance while supporting regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

High School diploma or better; Associates preferred in Power Plant Tech.
Minimum five years’ experience in power plant operations and/or maintenance.
Strong knowledge of power generation equipment and safety standards (LOTO, OSHA).

Responsibilities

Provide functional direction and technical guidance to O&M personnel for safe, reliable plant operations.
Coordinate startup/shutdown and daily operating schedules to meet generation needs.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve reliability.
Train and mentor staff and ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
