Job summary

Worley in Kansas City seeks a Power Networks project engineer to lead multidiscipline activities, coordinate with clients and utilities, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence across transmission, distribution, substations and grid infrastructure.

The role emphasizes management of scope, costs, risks, and design deliverables while aligning with Worley standards and regulatory requirements. PE status preferred; hybrid or on-site arrangements may apply.

Qualifications

• Substantial technical, practical, and leadership experience in Power Networks project engineering.
• Experience with transmission line, distribution, substation, protection and controls, SCADA/telecom, or grid modernization projects.
• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HSE focus within the project team and ensure safety, constructability, environmental, and operational requirements are incorporated into design, procurement, construction support, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Establish, maintain, and strengthen client and utility relationships through proactive communication and reliable delivery.
• Manage assigned budgets within Worley’s scope, including engineering hours, design deliverables, procurement support, construction support, and change impacts.
• Contribute to development, maintenance, and progress reporting of project schedules and milestones.
• Provide clear reporting to project management and client stakeholders on scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks and deliverables.
