Job summary

G&W Electric, Bolingbrook, IL, is seeking a Power Grid Automation Engineer II to lead the design and integration of switchgear automation. You will manage projects end-to-end, program relays, and provide technical support to customers and internal teams.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, relay programming, and field experience. Travel up to 10% may be required, with competitive benefits and incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Proven experience in engineering design and/or development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of switchgear automation and provide project management.
• Design logic, program relays and controllers for distribution automation projects.
• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to sales/marketing, production engineering, and customers.
• Train and assist customers with installations and commissioning, including on-site activities.
