Job summary

CBC is looking for a Lead Software Architect – Power Generation in Houston, TX, to lead the software and control system architecture for industrial power generation solutions. You will provide technical leadership across various control subsystems, ensuring effective and scalable control software.

Your role involves collaborating closely with engineers and OEM partners to define system architecture and guide implementation. A Bachelor’s degree and significant experience in industrial control systems or power generation software are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in industrial control systems or power generation software.
• Strong experience with PLC-based control systems.
• Proven expertise in state-based control, fault management, and safety-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end‑to‑end software and controls architecture for power generation systems.
• Lead architecture for engine/turbine, alternator, SCR, auxiliary subsystems.
• Define system‑level state machines and specify data models and communication interfaces.
• Review and guide implementation by software and controls teams.
