Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Lead Project/Hardware Engineer – Power Electronics to drive the design and qualification of large-scale variable speed drive products for HVAC and industrial applications. You will lead cross-functional teams across controls, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality to deliver robust, compliant power electronics hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Power Electronics focus highly preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years in power electronics, motor drives or VSD development.
• Experience with 11 kW to 500 kW VSD/VFD products and related standards.
• Ability to lead cross-functional design reviews and testing programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, qualification, and commercialization of VSD/VFD products 11 kW–500 kW for HVAC/industrial use.
• Develop requirements, system architecture, DFMEA, safety plans, and release activities.
• Coordinate design reviews, qualification plans, and reliability testing with internal and external teams.
• Provide technical leadership for customer applications, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
