Job summary

Copeland, a global climate technologies company, seeks a Lead Power Electronics Software Engineer based at our Sidney, OH location with hybrid work options. You will lead embedded software development for variable speed motor drives, coordinate with software and hardware teams, and drive DFMEA and test procedures to ensure high-performance, energy-efficient HVACR solutions.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in software development with embedded C, and experience

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of software development experience, with at least 1 year of embedded C in motor control systems.
At least 1 year of experience with the software development lifecycle from requirement to code generation, verification and documentation.
At least 1 year of experience with software revision control in Git.

Responsibilities

Generate embedded software for variable speed motor control drives.
Develop and document test procedures for engineering and manufacturing tests of variable frequency drives.
Own and complete software DFMEA for variable speed motor control drives.
Validate software with compressors under normal and abnormal test conditions and generate reports.
Work with local and global software and hardware teams to complete tasks.
Provide technical support to other teams and external customers as required.
