Job summary

GE Aerospace in Dayton, OH, seeks a Lead Engineer - Power Conversion & Controls to design and develop Aviation Power Electronic Conversion products, including converters, inverters, and energy storage solutions. You will supervise engineers, develop roadmaps, oversee bids, and align technical direction with customer needs.

This role requires strong power electronics expertise, the ability to architect complete electrical power systems, and effective communication with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the power electronics engineering field.
• U.S. persons only due to export-controlled technology access.

Responsibilities

• Architect electrical power systems for Aviation/Aerospace customers.
• Coordinate diverse teams to conduct power converter trade studies.
• Apply aviation industry standards and help develop new standards.
• Use model-based analytical tools to optimize electrical power systems.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers on power components.
• Supervise team work and perform analyses to resolve issues.
• Help develop technology roadmaps and oversee bids and proposals.
• Provide technical focus on strategic business plans.
