Job summary
GE Aerospace in Dayton, OH seeks a Lead Engineer - Power Conversion & Controls to design and develop Aviation Power Electronic Conversion products. Based in Dayton, you will oversee roadmaps, bids, and collaborate with diverse engineering teams to solve technical issues and deliver converters, inverters, and energy storage solutions for electric power and propulsion customers.
You will supervise teams, perform analyses, and shape product direction while staying current on advances in Power
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
- PhD or Master's in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Architect electrical power systems for Aviation/Aerospace applications.
- Coordinate teams to perform power converter trade studies and analyses.
- Apply latest Aviation industry standards and help develop new ones.
- Develop and optimize power systems using model-based tools with engineers.
- Collaborate with suppliers of power components.
- Review customer requirements and align with product capabilities.
- Test power systems with internal and external design teams.
- Supervise engineering work and perform analyses to solve issues.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and oversee bids and proposals.
