Job summary

Farmers Pride Inc in Pennsylvania is seeking a Flock Supervisor to support the Breeder Manager in maintaining a high-quality hatching egg supply. You will oversee the rearing and growing of pullets and cockerels from day of age to 65 weeks, ensuring adherence to health, housing, and production standards.

The role requires coordinating field activities, performing NPIP and vaccine-related duties, managing daily records, and communicating with the Breeder Manager to optimize flock performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to speak English, read safety rules, and write routine reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Breeder Manager and field staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with Breeder Manager about field status.
• Complete and submit paperwork including service reports, vaccine billing, and data reports.
• Perform NPIP and movement blood tests.
• Collect samples for testing (feed, litter, swabs) as scheduled.
• Administer water and spray vaccinations to flocks and supervise vaccination teams.
• Weigh pullets and cockerels weekly; manage feed amounts to meet weight goals.
• Oversee flock housing and ensure proper house setup and movement from pullet to breeder house.
• Attend industry meetings as directed by Breeder Manager.
