Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking a Flock Supervisor to assist the Breeder Manager in producing a high-quality hatching egg supply. You will oversee rearing pullets and cockerels from day of age to 65 weeks, administer vaccinations, collect samples, and ensure accurate paperwork and reporting.

Key duties include NPIP testing, weight monitoring, feed management, and coordination with growers. A Bachelor's degree and poultry experience are preferred for this on-site role in Fredericksburg, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field.
• 1–2 years related poultry industry experience.
• Proficient in English; able to read safety rules and write reports.
• Ability to work with NPIP/testing and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with Breeder Manager and field staff.
• Complete and file paperwork including service reports and vaccination records.
• Perform NPIP and movement blood tests and collect samples for testing.
• Vaccinate flocks and observe vaccination teams for quality control.
• Oversee weekly weighing and feed amounts to meet growth goals.
• Supervise flock housing setups and movement from pullet to breeder house.
• Ensure cleaning and disinfecting of contracted premises.
