Job summary

Wick Buildings is seeking an experienced Working Foreman to lead a post-frame construction crew near Springfield, IL. This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating the crew, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety on every task.

The ideal candidate has a Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one, proven foreman or crew-lead experience, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Travel to job sites is required and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain
• Proven construction leadership, crew lead, or foreman experience
• Commitment to workplace safety and ability to recognize and correct hazards
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Ability to work at heights, perform physically demanding work, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead jobsite operations with safety as the first consideration in every task.
• Direct daily jobsite activities, assign work, and coordinate crew productivity.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work plans.
• Ensure projects meet Wick Buildings quality standards and are completed safely and efficiently.
• Train, coach, and develop crew members while setting clear expectations.
• Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and management.
• Drive company trucks and trailers and operate construction equipment as assigned.
