Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Standard Products Technician to service portable fire extinguishers, pre-engineered kitchen systems, and emergency lighting. The role requires performing maintenance, inspections, and certifications, with emphasis on safe procedures and accurate documentation.

You will interact with customers and vendors, use hand tools and measuring devices, and operate assigned vehicles. Ability to work at heights and in varied environments is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform hazard analyses of customer facilities to determine fire protection needs.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
• Professional communication and interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, service, and recharge hand-portable, wheeled, and stationary fire extinguisher units.
• Inspect, maintain, repair, and service pre-engineered kitchen suppression systems.
• Inspect, test, and verify the operation and placement of emergency lighting systems.
