Under the direction of the Captain/Supervisor, the Lead/Sergeant is responsible for the day-to-day security operations of their assigned shift. They provide physical security for all Parkview-owned buildings, equipment, and grounds, creating a safe campus environment with an emphasis on customer service and service excellence. The Lead/Police Sergeant will be responsible for managing resources, ensuring routine duties are performed timely, mentoring officers, assisting in investigations, and addressing security incident trends. They will also keep the Captain/Supervisor informed of rules violations and contribute to annual performance reviews.
Education: Associate's Degree preferred or sixty (60) hours towards a Bachelor's Degree.
Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license required; certification in Non-Violent Prevention and Basic Life Support (CPR) required within 90 days. Must meet Indiana Law requirements for sworn Police Officer certification or have 5 years of verifiable experience in lieu of certification.
Experience: Two years (or 5 years without law enforcement certification) in Healthcare Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or related field.
Other Skills: Good communication skills, ability to handle disruptive individuals, flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, and willing to work at other sites as needed.
Employment is full-time at the associate level, with industry experience in hospitals, healthcare, or wellness services.
