Job summary

The City of Virginia Beach Police Department’s Analytical Services Unit (ASU) within ARTIC seeks a Police Data Analysis Supervisor to lead seven analysts and drive data-driven policing efforts. This role supervises automation, data workflows, crime mapping, and reporting, ensuring timely insights for decision makers across the department.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver actionable intelligence, develop best practices, and advance problem-solving

Qualifications

• Documented experience as a data analyst in a law enforcement or public safety context.
• Experience with automation tools and process improvement to streamline workflows.
• Ability to coordinate across work groups and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage staff responsible for product development, automation, data modelling, queries, crime mapping, and reports.
• Serve in a lead role coordinating the department’s analytical functions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable intelligence and support problem solving.
• Develop and implement best practices for the assigned unit.
