Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center's Point of Care Testing division seeks a Supervisor to manage the POC program across sites within the health system. You will oversee testing procedures, regulatory compliance, documentation, and staff training for glucose, urine analyses, rapid tests, and related assays.

Responsibilities include developing QC processes, coordinating site visits, and implementing PT programs while ensuring NCCLS, NYS, and CLIA guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for lab leadership.
• Medical Lab Technologist training and licensure required by NYS.
• 4 years bench experience, or 2 years with a Master's, to qualify as supervisor.
• Familiarity with Point of Care Testing instrumentation required.

Responsibilities

• Set up documentation for point of care testing for current and new sites per NCCLS guidelines.
• Establish licensing criteria and staff certification programs; develop online testing programs as a partner of e-learning.
• Track personnel and site training; schedule annual reviews of training and certification.
