Qualifications

• Facility management experience in educational environment preferred.
• Business management and budgeting experience.
• Union environment experience desirable.
• Proficient with basic computer tools (email, Internet).
• Able to work shifts, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Plumbing team; set performance standards and ensure code adherence.
• Schedule preventive maintenance; ensure timely completion of work.
• Provide technical expertise and supervise contractors.
• Estimate labor and plan projects; manage deferred maintenance.
• Maintain cross-connect program and documentation.
• Review timecards and approve work orders; ensure proper charging of materials.
• Respond to emergencies; weekend coverage on rotating basis.
• Coordinate with MIT staff and service providers to solve issues.
