Job summary

Charlotte Mechanical seeks a Plumbing Superintendent to lead plumbing construction on multi-family projects in the region. You will oversee foremen, field crews, and subcontractors, ensuring work meets quality and schedule targets.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of plumbing systems, and the ability to read drawings and manage change orders. A safety-first mindset and experience with ADA/code requirements are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising commercial or multi-family plumbing construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods, and construction practices.
• Proven leadership experience managing field crews and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of local plumbing codes and ADA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise plumbing foremen, field personnel, and subcontractors.
• Plan and coordinate all plumbing installation activities from project start through completion.
• Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and adjust resources to maintain schedules.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts, design issues, and construction challenges.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with project specs and codes.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on every jobsite.
• Assist in managing project profitability and labor productivity.
