Job summary

Charlotte Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to lead multi-family construction projects in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on planning, supervising installation, coordinating crews, and ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality across sites.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership with hands-on field experience, a commitment to quality, and the ability to mentor teams while contributing to project profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising commercial or multi-family plumbing construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods, and construction practices.
• Proven leadership experience managing field crews and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of local plumbing codes and ADA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise plumbing foremen, field personnel, and subcontractors.
• Plan and coordinate all plumbing installation activities from start to finish on assigned projects.
• Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets to maintain timelines and costs.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure efficient progress.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts, design issues, and construction challenges to keep projects on track.
• Maintain high levels of workmanship and customer satisfaction through quality control.
