Job summary

Mantis Innovation is seeking a field technician to lead PLC Ignition and Tridium Niagara work on Umatilla data center projects. You will perform installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting in live environments, independently and with minimal external support.

This role requires relocation to Umatilla, OR, driving distance to sites, and travel within the PNW. You will help ensure schedules, quality standards, and documentation, while reducing fly-in support and maintaining uptime

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with PLC (SCADA) Ignition and/or Tridium Niagara.
• Ability to independently commission, startup, and troubleshoot in live environments.
• Willingness to relocate to Umatilla, OR and travel within driving distance.

Responsibilities

• Execute installation, commissioning, and startup of PLC (SCADA) Ignition and/or Tridium Niagara based control systems in data center environments.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network control system issues in live environments.
• Perform point-to-point checkouts, calibration, and full system validation independently.
• Deliver assigned project scope in alignment with schedule and quality requirements.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely commissioning and service documentation.
• Coordinate directly with subcontractors and internal teams to keep work progressing on schedule.
• Own service and troubleshooting work for systems under responsibility post-commissioning.
• Set technical execution standards in the field and ensure work meets quality expectations.
• Mentor junior technicians and enforce consistent execution practices when applicable.
