Job summary

Brose in Michigan seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer to maximize equipment availability across production lines, lead troubleshooting of PLC-controlled systems, and mentor a skilled maintenance team.

You will plan preventive maintenance, document activities in CMMS/SAP PM, coordinate with production, engineering, and contractors, and drive continuous improvement in reliability, efficiency, and safety within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Assoc./Tech Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing.
• Strong Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting, with commissioning/optimizing automated systems.
• Experience with SAP PM and knowledge of ISO 14001, TS 16949, and OSHA requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance to maximize equipment availability and support technicians.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Program, commission, and optimize Siemens PLC systems and automation equipment.
• Plan preventive and predictive maintenance and document in CMMS/SAP PM.
• Mentor and support the maintenance team and promote best practices.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and service providers; oversee contractors.
• Support continuous improvement to increase reliability, efficiency, quality, and energy efficiency.
• Assist in equipment procurement and industrialization through specs and evaluations.
• Ensure safety, environmental, housekeeping, and quality standards.
