Job summary

Carrier is hiring a Lead PLC Field Engineer for a Sullivan, Indiana project. You will provide technical ownership from mobilization through startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance, leading complex PLC-based control systems and coordinating field teams.

You will program, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen-Bradley PLCs, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring quality and safety standards across the mission-critical startup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Controls, Industrial Automation, HVAC, Electrical Systems or Industrial Networking.
• Must possess a valid, current Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to travel up to 50% based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead PLC Field Engineer for Sullivan, Indiana project from mobilization through startup and customer acceptance.
• Provide daily onsite responsibility for Sullivan project execution, field coordination, startup support, and issue resolution.
• Serve as senior technical field authority for complex PLC-based control projects.
• Lead end-to-end execution from field mobilization to commissioning and testing.
• Program, commission, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex PLC programming, controls, and electrical issues.
• Develop and modify PLC sequences, interlocks, alarms, and fail-safe logic.
• Mentor and develop junior PLC Field Engineers and lead training initiatives.
