Job summary

CDW is seeking a Quality Engineer to establish our Playwright automation framework from the ground up for a React frontend and .NET backend. You will design and implement scalable UI, API, and end-to-end tests, balancing manual testing with automation during the initial phase.

This 6-month contract role offers the opportunity to shape our automation practice and collaborate with developers to improve testability and reliability across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software QA/Test Automation.
• Experience designing and building automation frameworks.
• Hands-on Playwright UI automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a scalable Playwright framework from scratch.
• Create automated UI, API, and end-to-end test coverage.
• Partner with developers to improve application testability.
• Develop test data, authentication, and reporting strategies.
• Perform manual testing while automation coverage is being established.
• Own test stability, defect reporting, and quality best practices.
