General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to lead the build, configuration, and sustainment of a Software Factory for the US Space Force.

The role focuses on Azure cloud and Kubernetes, automation pipelines, and DevSecOps practices to deliver secure, scalable platforms. The successful candidate will direct deployment of Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and related tooling, while guiding teams in adopting DevSecOps within a high-security, mission-critical

Competenze

• US citizen with DoD Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain TS.
• 10+ years of DevOps/Cloud experience.
• Experience with Linux and Linux-based operating systems.
• Experience with Software Architecture, Engineering and CI/CD/DevOps practices.
• Familiar with at least one programming or scripting language.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Experience with containerization build technologies for Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kubernetes Persistent Volumes / Volume Claims and CSI plugins.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with teams and customers.
• Proficiency with Agile lifecycle management (ALM) tools.

Mansioni

• Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software/infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters in Azure cloud environments.
• Deploy and manage Jira, Confluence and GitLab in Azure VMs.
• Utilize Helm to deploy and integrate software titles into Kubernetes clusters for the Software Factory.
• Onboard user teams and assist with integration of applications via automated pipelines.
• Lead guidelines and standards for deploying to Azure Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.
• Educate teams on DevSecOps practices and tooling.
• Provide technical leadership for DevOps or cloud teams.
