Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Lead Platform Engineering Architect to drive hybrid cloud and on‑premises platform engineering for DoD mission systems. You will design, build, and manage scalable, secure baselines across environments, including Kubernetes orchestration and CI/CD integration.

You will govern disaster recovery, patching, and continuity strategies, enforcing RPO/RTO targets in a large, classified environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 10–12 years in platform engineering.
• 5+ years Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
• 5+ years hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure/on‑prem) architecture.
• Security Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead hybrid cloud and on‑premises platform engineering for all apps and services.
• Design, build, and manage secure, highly available baselines across environments.
• Configure and harden Kubernetes, resources, namespaces, Helm charts, and orchestration logic.
