Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Lead Platform Engineer/DevOps AWS to own EKS cluster management, infrastructure automation, and platform reliability, collaborating with customers to accelerate development on cloud infrastructure.

This role supports remote work from anywhere in Georgia, with options for office or coworking spaces, emphasizing security, high availability, performance, and resilience across all services, plus on-call rotations and opportunities for certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infra engineering or DevOps with cloud focus.
• Strong AWS or GCP expertise required.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and policy management.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Ruby or Bash) with IaC experience.
• Experience with Terraform and AWS services.
• Familiarity with Docker, Ansible and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of MongoDB.
• Basic Go knowledge and quick learning willingness.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage EKS clusters and automations across the global Cloud Hosting team.
• Solve problems across the technology stack.
• Develop high quality, stable automation and internal APIs.
• Participate in on-call rota with compensation.
• Write high level designs and developer documentation.
• Plan around releases, workload, and priorities.
• Design for privacy, security, compliance, high availability and resilience.
• Ensure fast turnaround of feature requests and bug fixes.
• Reduce effort to provision, deploy, configure, update and repair apps on cloud infra.
• Collaborate across teams to evolve cloud infrastructure practices.
