Qualifications

• Led a small engineering team while continuing to ship code.
• Mentored engineers, coached growth, and made hard personnel calls when needed.
• Spanned databases, Linux, networking, deployment and app code with speed to pick up unfamiliar stacks.
• Instituted version control, CI, automated tests and code review in teams previously lacking them.
• Regularly used AI coding agents to improve productivity and guide decisions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as final technical decision maker on architecture, infra, and release prioritization.
• Assess and grow the engineering team, including hiring where needed.
• Own platform layer: compute, databases, VPNs, patching, backups, and DR.
• Lead release pipeline decisions from ticket to customer updates.
• Modernize legacy Forms/Reports and move toward a web-based platform.
• Migrate remaining on-prem/colo customers to the cloud and hand runbooks to the team.
• Establish proactive alerting and sustainable on-call rotation; promote CI and automated testing.
