Job summary

Antora Energy, Inc. is seeking a Plant Technician II to control and operate thermal energy storage and boiler systems at our Big Stone City, SD site.

You will support maintenance during installation, commissioning, and operations, collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to safely construct and operate first-of-a-kind industrial installations of the Antora thermal battery. You will join a cross-functional team and contribute to demonstrating long-duration energy storage technology,

Qualifications

3+ years of operations experience with control systems (DCS/SCADA/PLCs).
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in hazardous environments.
Experience with boilers, steam generators, and auxiliary systems.
Proficient with test equipment and calibration tools.
Ability to perform inspections, startups/shutdowns, and emergency procedures.
Familiarity with lockout/tagout, hot work permits, and job hazard analysis.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain plant systems including boilers, generators, and control systems.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams during commissioning and operations.
Prioritize and manage tasks within a technical area with minimal supervision.
Develop and follow standard operating procedures to improve operations.
Diagnose, test, and rebuild large industrial machinery hands-on.
Maintain high safety and regulatory compliance standards.
