Job summary

Airgas in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Lead Plant Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain facilities, machinery and equipment used in compression and liquefaction of gases. The role includes leading projects, providing technical support, and ensuring safety compliance across the site.

You will operate forklifts and site equipment, train staff, and support operations with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with electrical circuits, motors, compressors and pumps in an industrial setting is required.
• Must be able to safely drive a forklift.
• Solid understanding of plant operations equipment, plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of facilities, machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain facilities, buildings, machinery and equipment used in gas compression and liquefaction.
• Lead and support region-wide projects for installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of bulk tanks, valves and cryogenic pumps.
• Perform post-installation testing and training for personnel; provide technical resource support.
• Maintain logs and support administrative workflows including PO, CAPEX and MOC processes.
