Job summary

ERCOT in Taylor, TX is seeking an experienced Power Systems Engineer to perform stability analysis, interconnection studies, and transmission planning for Large Load integration. The role requires delivering technical analyses, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring reliability and compliance in the Texas grid.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
Experience in power system engineering or related role preferred.
Knowledge of stability studies, interconnection studies, and transmission planning is desirable.

Responsibilities

Performs Batch stability screening studies for Large Load interconnection and transmission improvements using power system simulation tools.
Designs and performs stability assessments, including PV, angular and voltage stability, and short circuit analysis using simulation models.
Supports NERC FAC-002 studies for Large Load interconnections.
Runs scenarios and sensitivity analyses to ensure robust study results.
Prepares technical reports and presentations for ERCOT management and stakeholders.
