Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Houston is seeking a Lead Engineer, Piping to oversee the design of piping systems for LNG projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. This in-office role is located in Houston, TX, with travel possible depending on project location.

The Lead Piping Engineer will manage the piping scope across projects, including overseas offices, and supervise stress analysis, material specification, design and procurement support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10–15 years of piping design experience using 2D/3D software; LNG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire piping scope on assigned projects, including overseas offices.
• Oversee stress analysis, material specification, design and take-off.
• Develop and ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and objectives.
• Conduct regular design reviews and mentor team members.
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines for seamless integration and review vendor drawings.
