Job summary

SSOE Group in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a mid-to-upper level Piping Designer to lead chemical process piping design on single or multi-discipline teams. You will prepare construction packages, review drawings, and support field activities from our Scottsdale office.

The role requires 15+ years piping design experience and proficiency with AutoCAD Plant3D, Revit, and Navisworks. Travel to sites may be involved in supported projects. Remote work is not specified.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams on projects and coordinate work of other designers.
• Read P&IDs and transfer data to piping design using standard techniques.
• Review equipment shop drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare construction packages, addendums, and bulletins.
• Provide construction support and respond to change orders as needed.
• Present design details in internal and external meetings.
• May write portions of specifications and assist with cost estimates.
• Travel to job sites as required.
