Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Surveyor III to lead a field survey crew on pipeline projects in the United States. You will ensure accurate data collection for construction, engineering design, and infrastructure programs, while enforcing safety and regulatory standards.

You will supervise crew members, coordinate field activities, and work in varying outdoor conditions. The role requires leadership, solid surveying knowledge, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of pipeline surveying experience.
• Familiarity with survey tools, terms, and field equipment.
• Proficiency with Total Station, level, and GPS methods.
• Awareness of survey software and data transfer workflows.
• Ability to walk, climb, and work in varying conditions outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct survey crew for projects.
• Identify landmarks and terrain changes affecting surveys.
• Review survey execution packets and methods.
• Supervise field crew and coordinate workloads.
• Ensure accuracy of measurements and data.
• Maintain equipment and safety practices.
• Collaborate with supervisors and technicians on final deliverables.
• Review evidence and records to obtain data for surveys.
• Follow procedures for establishing survey control.
