Job summary

At Mott MacDonald, a trusted engineering, management, and development consultancy, we seek a Surveyor III to lead our field survey crew in collecting critical data for construction and infrastructure projects in the United States. You will ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance while guiding the crew through complex survey tasks.

You will review survey data and records, coordinate field activities, and collaborate with supervisors to deliver reliable results.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of pipeline surveying experience.
• Familiarity with survey tools and data collection equipment.
• Proficiency with Total Station and GPS methods.
• Ability to download survey data and transfer in digital format.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct work of survey crew for survey projects.
• Locate, review, and research job locations for landmarks and land changes.
• Review execution packets and supervise field staff.
• Maintain instruments and equipment; ensure accuracy of data and conformance to standards.
• Produce field notes, sketches, and daily logs; review timesheets and expenses.
• Ensure safety requirements and PPE usage.
