Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. seeks a Pipefitter for the Texas Division in the Alamogordo, New Mexico area. The role requires laying out piping and equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring on-site safety and efficient labor management.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of piping experience on water/wastewater projects, with knowledge of various piping materials and rigging. This is a full-time, on-site position with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five years' experience installing piping and equipment on water/wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and specifications.
• Lay out piping and equipment including clarifiers, filters, chemical rooms, aeration basin system, pumps.
• Help monitor on-site safety for personnel and subcontractors.
• Assist Project Superintendent in monitoring project labor.
• Understand equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring processes.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
• Knowledge of process piping materials: PVC, steel, SST, and DIP.
• Operate forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift; perform other duties as assigned.
