Job summary

SPC Mechanical is seeking a Pipefitter Mechanic II to support layout, fabrication, and installation of piping systems and HVAC components per blueprints and specs. You will assist with pressure testing, welding prep, and equipment setup while adhering to safety and company procedures.

The role requires basic construction software use and the ability to work in a small crew under supervision. You will read and interpret blueprints, select materials, lay out patterns, operate fabrication tools,

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and project specifications.
• Performs pressure testing and verifies system integrity.
• Capable of leading a small crew (2–6 helpers/mechanics).
• HVAC equipment knowledge and piping basics.
• Proficient in basic math and take-offs.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and mentors crew members to meet project goals.
• Reads blueprints and ensures installation aligns with specs.
• Selects materials and installation methods per project specs.
• Lays out dimensions, marks reference lines, and traces patterns.
• Sets up fabrication tools and installs piping per plans.
• Maintains job logs and project documentation.
• Ensures safety policies and company procedures are followed.
