Job summary

SPC Mechanical is seeking a Pipefitter Mechanic I to support layout, fabrication, and installation of piping systems and HVAC components. You will assist with pressure testing, welding prep, and equipment setup while following safety standards and company procedures.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with the project manager, mentor a small crew, and help ensure on-time, safe installation across assignments. OSHA 10 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or project specifications to determine sequence and installation methods.
• Knows how to perform pressure testing and understands fitting takes offs and math.
• Familiar with ACC, Blue Beam and BIM360 models.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring team members on safety and procedures.
• Reads project specs to determine installation steps and material requirements.
• Sets up and operates fabrication tools to complete piping installations on schedule.
• Maintains accurate job logs and ensures quality control.
