Job summary

The Shaw Group, Llc is seeking a Pipe Superintendent to oversee on-site piping installation, testing and commissioning across industrial or large commercial projects in Beaumont, TX. You will lead pipe crews, coordinate with trades, and ensure work meets drawings, specifications and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring extensive field experience in pipe fabrication and installation, with strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills to drive schedule, quality and cost

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of rigging experience with 3+ years in supervision.
• Experience on industrial, petrochemical, heavy civil or power sites.
• Deep understanding of pipe materials, fittings, welding, testing and installation.
• Ability to read and interpret isometrics, P&IDs, spool sheets and field layouts.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all piping field activities including layout, fabrication, installation and hydrotesting.
• Plan daily and weekly work aligned with the project schedule and milestones.
• Ensure work complies with codes (ASME/API), drawings and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, safety and other trades.
• Lead and manage piping crews including foremen, pipefitters and welders.
• Monitor productivity, progress and manpower requirements; report findings.
• Support quality control with weld inspections, testing procedures and docs.
• Identify and resolve field issues with engineering and project management.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and hazard assessments; enforce PPE usage.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs and timekeeping for crew.
