Job summary

C.A. Murren is seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman specializing in underground wet utilities for heavy civil site development projects across the southeastern United States.

You will lead field crews, oversee safety, quality, and scheduling, and ensure efficient movement of water, sewer, and storm drainage work. The role requires reading plans, setting grades, coordinating resources, and training crew members while maintaining our safety culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a foreman in heavy civil underground utilities.
• Experience installing water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
• Strong knowledge of trench safety, OSHA standards, and best practices.
• Proficient in grade checking, layout, and blueprint reading.
• Ability to use a computer for daily reporting and timesheets.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews and promote safety culture on site.
• Supervise pipe crews installing water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
• Read blueprints, utility profiles, and project specs.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities for the phase.
• Identify risks and communicate issues or opportunities.
• Ensure proper layout, grade checking, and elevation control.
• Stage materials, equipment, and manpower for efficiency.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Submit daily reports and review crew timecards.
• Communicate project status to project managers and superintendents.
• Train crew members and create growth opportunities.
