Job summary

Hughes Brothers Construction is hiring a Pipe Foreman to lead pipe crews on heavy civil projects across Central Florida. This role ensures safe, on-time installation of underground piping systems in accordance with plans and specifications.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with project managers, supervise field crews, maintain records, and uphold quality and safety standards. Proficiency in English; Spanish a plus. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of underground utility or heavy civil construction experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of pipe installation methods, trench safety, and heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA safety training and certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Notable organizational and planning skills.
• English and Spanish fluency a plus, but not required.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct pipe crews in the installation of storm drains, sanitary sewers, water mains, and related structures.
• Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate layout and installation.
• Coordinate daily activities with project managers, superintendents, and other trades.
• Inspect work for compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Manage crew productivity, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and security of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and crew hours.
• Be the Channel for communications between office and field.
