Petticoat-Schmitt Civil Contractors, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead underground utility crews on public works and site development projects.

You will plan daily work, supervise crews, and ensure safe, on‑time installation of storm, sewer, and water systems. Based in our ESOP‑owned company, you’ll mentor Hillmen, Tailmen, and Pipelayers, coordinate with superintendents, read plans, and operate grade‑control lasers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years underground utility installation experience.
• Lead pipe crew experience preferred (Lead Pipelayer/Foreman).
• Strong trench safety, utility installation, compaction, and grade control knowledge.
• Proficient reading construction plans and operating lasers.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a pipe crew in installing storm, sanitary sewer, and water utilities.
• Plan daily work activities and communicate expectations to crew.
• Coordinate with Superintendents and Project Managers for labor, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain a productive, organized and efficient jobsite.
• Ensure proper installation of underground utilities including RCP, PVC, Ductile Iron, HDPE.
