Job summary

South Bend Community School Corp Athletics is seeking a Foundation Phase Lead (Pickleball) to guide a high-quality youth program in alignment with SBCSC Athletics philosophy.

The role involves coaching delivery oversight, player development, and coordinating schedules and events across sites, with collaboration from sports science, medical, and psychology teams. Some remote work may be required during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and evaluate age-appropriate coaching sessions for the Foundation Phase.
• Oversee coaching delivery, player development, and program operations.
• Coordinate training schedules, games, and events for student-athletes.
• Collaborate with sports science, medical, analysis, and psychology staff as needed.
• Assist with recruitment, evaluation, and retention decisions in alignment with policies.
• Complete and maintain required documentation accurately and timely.
• Promote a safe, positive, high-performing environment for student-athletes.
• Uphold safeguarding, health, and district policies at all times.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen coaching knowledge.
• Develop and oversee summer and off-season programming across sites.
• Support planning of recognition events and execution of athletic strategic plan.
