Job summary

Western Digital in San Jose, CA seeks a seasoned Photo Equipment Engineer to monitor tool performance, troubleshoot, and lead equipment improvements across the manufacturing line. You will collaborate with process engineering, provide 8D reports, and establish maintenance procedures.

A BS in a relevant field is required, with 5+ years in photo equipment, electronics, optics, robotics, preferably in magnetic head manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or physical science field.
• Experience with photolithography equipment (Coater/Developers TEL ProZ/Act8, FSI2500).
• Strong analytical and data-driven problem solving.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance, identify issues and fix tool.
• Certify and train maintenance and equipment tool owners.
• Establish written procedures and specs for maintenance tech.
• Lead investigations for equipment-related excursions and provide solutions.
• Provide 8D and executive summaries to management.
